“How Skype brought three councils together and enabled teams to better serve their citizens." Mid Kent Partnership

The Mid Kent Partnership is an affiliation between Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone and Swale Borough Councils, who work together with an aim to improve and reduce the cost of services to residents across Mid Kent. A primary goal was to improve citizen engagement by moving the councils to a more collaborative and agile way of working. A single centralised Unified Communications based on Skype for Business streamlined multiple telephone systems enabling staff to seamlessly work from anywhere and serve citizens more effectively. The journey from legacy telephony systems was not simple in itself but has enabled a new simplified and engaging environment for their teams. In this session, Ian Hurst will discuss how the bringing together of the three councils and utilisation of Skype for Business has enabled a far more flexible approach for the Mid Kent Partnership.
